Welcome to Hydronet! -a website which we've devoted to our enrichment project. The HydroNet! project team is made up of 4 members, namely:
Chiang Siok Kie, Rebecca
Lee Yuh Jien
Sng Yeow Boon, Henry
Yip Hon Chung, Gerald

HydroNet! is actually just one of the several enrichment projects presented during the CJC Creativity and Enrichment Project week, an annual affair held at Catholic Junior College(CJC), the school we study in. During that time, students are also given opportunities to display their own talents in the projects of their choice.

HydroNet! is based on the premise of water-testing, an interesting area which we all agreed would utilize schools of scientific discipline like biochemistry, qualitative ecology and mathematics. Of course,we were also just a tad curious as to what our drinking water consists of, not to mention the fact that it would be great for us to dabble around with water samples in the school lab.

The intial guise of HydroNet! was that of a booklet which we would use to present our project findings. But somehow, we felt that it would be a bit too boring and finally decided to use the interactive aspects of web publishing. So, after a lot of research, sweat and sleepless nights, this webpage was finally created. Not too shabby, huh?

Just for your ease of use, HydroNet! has been divided into a few sections:

Introduction: The history...of water-testing!

Water Analysis: How water-testing evolved into its sophisticated form today!

Case-Study: The anatomy of a waterborne disease outbreak in the US.

Uses of water: Is it really necessary to do all these testing?

Research on water components: The science bit. A biochemical view of the components of water.

Experimental procedures: A step-by-step guide of what we do in the lab.

Finally, after all these, we would like to thank our teacher-adviser, Mrs Toh Yoke Fan for all that she has done. Thanks, Mrs Toh!!!
